French Examination Center in Lyon

The French Ministries of Education and Higher Education offer a wide range of language diplomas and certificates validating your skills in French. The offer is adapted to all. It is based on the 6 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, from A1 to C2.

It would be a shame to learn French in France and not to obtain an official worldwide recognised certificate defining your French level. Inflexyon French school in Lyon is an examination centre for DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF and Ev@lang French diplomas and certificates. All our French teachers are certified examiners and correctors for the above mentioned exams and tests and therefore, they can perfectly prepare the international students for the testing. You can opt for our general French courses to improve your level or for exam preparation courses to get familiar with the exam methodology.

* For immigration to Canada and Quebec, the French test is not obligatory, but it can bring you some points. The higher your level is, the more points you will get. It is recommended to get at least C1 level. 

DELF and DALF exams

DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) diplomas are recognised worldwide and are very prestigious. They can assess 6 levels from A1 to C2 by testing your listening, reading, writing and speaking. These are all skills which will be needed to carry out your academic studies if you choose to study at university where the curriculum is taught in French. French universities usually require their international students to provide DELF B2 or DALF C1 diploma. DELF B1 level can be accepted for the programs taught in English. The higher your level is, the easier it will be for you to succeed in your studies in French. The validity of the diploma is unlimited.

DELF Junior

DELF Junior is a French government diploma of French foreign language for young students from 12 to 17 years old. The topics are adapted to the interests and lifestyle of teenagers. It tests speaking, writing, listening and reading and it assesses 4 levels : A1, A2, B1 and B2. The DELF Junior provides an internationally recognised diploma with unlimited validity.

TCF tests

TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a French language test measuring your listening, reading, writing, speaking and grammar skills. At the end, it indicates your level (A1 to C2) for each skill and the general level as well. There are two versions of TCF that you can register for at Inflexyon – TCF Tout Public if you want to apply for a French university, for example, and TCF Accès à la Nationalité Française if you want to apply for French nationality. The certificate is valid for 2 years.

TEF tests

TEF (Test d’Evaluation de Français) is also a French language test evaluating your listening, reading, writing, speaking and grammar skills and indicating a level from A1 to C2. Inflexyon offer 2 versions of TEF : TEF Carte de Résident if you want to request a French resident card and TEF Canada if you want to emigrate to Canada. The certificate is valid for 2 years.

Ev@lang

Ev@lang is a short online French language test helping you to estimate your level and see you progression in French. Ev@lang assesses 6 levels of proficiency (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) and 6 subdivisions of these proficiency levels (A1+, A2+, B1-, B1+, B2-, B2+). You can test 3 competences : listening, reading and grammar with vocabulary.
