CARNIVAL
Par Mary, mardi 24 février 2009 à 12:00 :: L'Ecole de Français

In France and in other countries of the world people celebrate Carnival every year. It is a period that starts after Epiphany (on January 6th) and ends on Fat Tuesday (on February 24th this year). This feast celebrates the end of winter and abundance to announce the arrival of the sacrifice preparing to Easter.
Above all on Fat Tuesday, people go out in the streets to dance, to sing, to masquerade, to admire allegorical wagons and parades, to savour crepes, bugnes and beignets. The city of Lyon participates in this event by celebrations in different metropolitan districts.
The French school Inflexyon invites you to enjoy these latest days of feast!
