As each year the Fête de la Science takes place in Lyon during several days where teams of researchers, physicians and scientists stir up the curiosity of visitors with there demonstrations, workshops, documentaries and other various scientific activities proposed for the occasion.

The Espace Double Mixte in Villeurbanne is the major place for the event as it gathers more then 40 stands on various themes. As an example the Grand Lyon institution will focus on climatic change in the city. A creative simulation of a projection in year 2050 will be presented; it will also focus on the work of 8 people acting actively to reduce greenhouse effect gazes. Another stand called Clim City based on the famous video game Sim City will develop climatic strategies. It will also be possible to calculate our ecological footprint.

It is the occasion to discover incredible things but also to become aware of some positive or negative phenomena and lead to a change of mentalities. The variety of the scientific subjects proposed makes this event very popular.
