The Centre retraces the history during the dark period of World War II. Located in the Lyon, the capital of the Resistance, this museum meets great success since it opened in 1992. It was built in the former military health school, the place where Klaus Barbie, the chef of the Gestapo in Lyon hold sway. This place is full of history, memory and symbols and the permanent exhibition drives us to the heart of history with authentic documents and retransmissions of Klaus Barbie's trial. Temporary exhibitions take place during the year most of the time during the celebration of an important event.
It is possible to do the visit with audio headphones in French or in English. The visit recreates the tragic atmosphere of the period. It is an interactive visit to discover with great interest.
The students of Inflexyon will be visiting the CHRD of Lyon on Wednesday during their cultural afternoon.
